Inside the America the Free Series: Art Deco Bars Built to Make a Statement
Share
Most of our collection lives in the $20–$300 range. Six pieces don't: the flagship bars, at $4,299.99. This post is the honest tour — what makes them different, the design language behind them, and exactly what that price does and doesn't buy.
First, the honest part
Like everything we make, the flagship bars are gold-plated display collectibles — not solid gold, not bullion, no investment or melt value. At this price you are buying the largest, most detailed pieces we produce: statement-scale relief work, mirror-bright finishing, and sealed presentation — a centerpiece object, not a commodity. If you want metal value, buy bullion from a dealer. If you want the room's attention on something that stands for what you believe, keep reading.
The design language: American Art Deco
All six bars share a visual system drawn from the golden age of American design — the 1920s–30s era of sunburst motifs, geometric borders, and monumental figures. Every bar is struck in crisp, mirror-bright relief with that same framework: a radiant sunburst ground, ornate scrollwork framing, and a single American icon rendered large.
The America the Free series (four bars)
- The Statue of Liberty — Liberty in bold profile, torch high above the New York City skyline, stars streaking the sky. Crown points and skyline silhouette rendered individually.
- The Bald Eagle — wings stretched wide, talons extended mid-descent; the layered wing feathers are the detail to look at first.
- The American Buffalo — mid-stride through prairie grass beneath the words LIBERTY, INDEPENDENCE, FREEDOM; you can trace individual blades of grass under his hooves.
- The Liberty Bell — the bell at center, famous crack included, flanked by scrollwork panels and marked 1753.
Each arrives sealed in its America the Free presentation card, set against the stars and stripes — protected from our hands to yours, and made to stay that way.
The two Ladies
- Lady of Liberty — striding forward, lantern raised, sword at her side, silhouetted against a rising-sun horizon; the sweep of her gown carries the composition.
- Lady of Justice — blindfolded and resolute, scales in one hand, sword in the other; look for the delicate chain-link detail on the scales.
Who these are for
Honestly: not everyone. They're bought as milestone gifts (retirements, promotions, service recognitions), as the anchor piece of a serious collection, and as office centerpieces that say something before you do. If that's not the occasion, our complete collection guide maps the same design DNA at every price from $19.99 up.
